A precise PSPICE model for the driving circuit of solenoid valve for electrically controlled diesel engine was created. Based on abundant analyses of the simulation results on the condition of different parameters, a driving circuit module of solenoid valve was designed. By applying the methods of high and low side driving, high and low driving voltage, and the feedback control of driving current, this module could fully realize the requirements for solenoid valve. At the same time, the fault detecting and diagnosing circuit for solenoid valve was designed. A self-protecting circuit for ECU at the time of solenoid valve winding circuit short was also realized. The tests showed that the ECU for EUP (electronic unit pump) diesel engine and high pressure common rail diesel engine, which applied this module, could achieve the current driving requirement of solenoid valve.
