The multi-body kinematics model of the McPherson suspension was established by using ADAMS/Car software. The effect of splitting point on Ackerman steering linkage and suspension kinematics characteristic has been studied. Meanwhile, the parameters of the splitting point of Ackerman steering linkage were optimized. Experimental study has been carried out. The results indicated that the method made the design of the splitting point of Ackerman steering linkage more concise and clear, and the parameters of optimization improved the Ackerman steering linkage and suspension kinematics characteristic.
